2026 01 08: End ICE

I’m reeeeally doing my best to avoid the news these days for my own sanity’s sake, however, this cute lil guy felt appropriate today considering yesterday’s news out of Minnesota.

Fuck ICE. Stay safe out there, y’all.

To end on a positive mindset, here’s a tidbit I learned recently that really blew my mind: ice is what allows life on earth to exist! To explain, water is a super rare compound (~0.001% of all compounds act this way) that becomes less dense as it shifts from a liquid to a solid. If ice were instead “normal,” ice would sink when it freezes, opposed to floating. In turn, this would lead to the solidification of all the world’s oceans and therefore disallow the evolution of life as we know it. Insane!

So yeah, fuck ICE but thank you ice.
