It’s been a busy year and I haven’t been able to work on my Illinois Project much, annoyingly. Because of this, I now have a new project brewing in my head that is closer to home. For now, we’ll call it The Chicago Project. As is the case with all of my photo projects, I’m not really sure, yet, what it is, but I’ve been really inspired by my travels around town and think I can bring an interesting perspective to a subject that has been documented and captured countless times over. Time will tell. For now, there is hope.

This new Casey Neistat video is more or less what’s been playing in my head for the last year or so. Still worth a watch as it’s quite funny.

Last week I unfollowed a photographer artificial intelligence influencer on LinkedIn because all she posts about is leveraging ai for commercial use. I’m just so over it. You can find me at the book shop.

I’m still trying to figure out what to post, what not to post, from my Illinois Wanderings. I’m still trying to figure out what the project even is. This is not a bad thing, it’s the whole reason I started this here blog. To feel things out; to figure things out. What is working and what isn’t working.

Do you ever wonder about how orderly-society is a construct and we’re just a few bureaucratic government agencies away from absolute chaos? This stop sign, leaning up against an old house, makes me think that. I may need to visit the state psychiatric center to get my brain checked out.
